Baku deems Israel’s attack against Iran from Azerbaijan possible

PanARMENIAN.Net - Chairman of State Committee of Azerbaijan on Work with Diaspora said he can neither confirm nor deny the possibility of Israeli armed forces to attack Iran's nuclear facilities from air base in Azerbaijan.

“All these unverified statements are rumors. However, I wouldn’t refute the information. I wouldn’t like Israel to bomb Iran, which is home to 35 ethnic Azeris,” Israeli source quoted Nazim Ibrahimov as saying.

Earlier, U.S. magazine Foreign Policy reported that official Baku permitted Israel to make use of five military bases, which ceased operating during the Soviet Union’s break-up.
