PanARMENIAN.Net - U.S. President Barack Obama officially won the Democratic nomination for reelection, The National Journal reports..

Obama did not face a serious primary challenge, unlike Republican Mitt Romney, who accepted his party’s nomination last week after a bitter, multi-candidate primary.

Obama will accept his party’s nomination at a little after 10 pm on Thursday, Sept 6 at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte. His speech was originally slated to be delivered at the 75,000-seat Bank of America Stadium, but was moved indoors because of concerns about severe weather.
