Zvartnots airport resumes services to Armavia until Sept 24September 20, 2012 - 20:06 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia International Airport CJSC resolved to resume services to Armavia air company 6 pm local time, September 20, to save passengers the inconvenience, as well as on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of Armenia’s independence, despite Armavia’s failure to pay debts to the airport. Flights will be suspended September 24, unless Armavia issues clear guarantees of payment and debt relief. Zvartnots airport has suspended services to Armavia air company over the latter’s debts. However, Armavia was allowed to continue September 19 flights to save passengers the inconvenience. On the morning of September 20, Zvartnots services to Armavia were halted. Armavia air company failed to pay its debts to Zvartnots airport over the past non-working days, Armavia’s statement reads. “It will be possible only within 2-3 days. It comes as a warning from the airport. On the eve of the upcoming holidays, the airport wants Armavia to make a prepayment, which is not possible, either.
