Andriasian retains 2nd spot after Groningen Chess Fest round 6

PanARMENIAN.Net - Chess Festival has resumed in the Dutch city of Groningen after a rest day.

After the Festival round 6, Armenian grandmaster Zaven Andriasian has tied the game with Mher Hovhannisyan. Andriasyan has gained 4 points to retain the 2nd spot.

Robin van Kampen of Holland is leading the tournament with 4,5 points.

Hovhannisyan is 10th with 4 points; Vahe Baghdasaryan is 28th with 3 points; Mark Basenchyan has 2 points to come 67th.

Groningen Chess Festival, with a prize fund of Euro 6000, launched December 21 to run through December 30.
