No Armenians among Algeria hostages – preliminary report

PanARMENIAN.Net - No Armenians were reported among foreigners taken hostage in Algeria desert gas complex, Foreign Ministry spokesman Tigran Balayan told PanARMENIAN.Net

Earlier, Algerian forces stormed a desert gas complex to free hundreds of hostages but 30, including several Westerners, were killed in the assault along with at least 11 of their Islamist captors.

Terrorists, who are believed to have links with al-Qaeda, called for an end to the ongoing French military intervention against Islamist rebels in neighboring Mali.
