CIS observer hails conditions for monitoring elections in Armenia![]() January 25, 2013 - 18:53 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met Jan 25 with a group of CIS observers, led by Deputy CIS Executive Secretary Vladimir Gorkun. Minister Nalbandian hailed the CIS observer mission’s activity, expressing gratitude for monitoring electoral processes in Armenia. Mr Gorkun, in turn, highly assessed the conditions created for observers, noting that about 170 CIS observers will monitor the polls, headed by CIS Executive Secretary Sergei Lebedev. The mission head further briefed on the CIS observer mission working schedule and the principles for making assessments during the elections. Partner news Nalbandian drew the co-chairs’ attention to ongoing military rhetoric of Azerbaijan, which undermines possibility for peaceful settlement. Tigran Sargsyan: the authorities will do the utmost in the coming 4-5 years to ensure favorable conditions for the people. Members of all parliamentary groups, PM, Energy Minister and the chair of the Public Services Regulatory Commission were invited to participate.
