Artur Aleksanyan reaches European championships quarterfinals

PanARMENIAN.Net - Olympic bronze medalist and European champion Artur Aleksanyan (96 kg) beat Georgia’s Soso Jabidze 5:0, 1:1 and 6:0 to make it to Tbilisi-hosted European championships quarterfinals.

In ¼ finals the Armenian wrestler will clash the winner of Nikita Melnikov and Cenk Ildem. Aleksanyan earlier beat Carl Schon (Switzerland).

Harutyun Hovhannisyan (55 kg) will also represent Armenia today, March 23, with Aleksan Mikayelyan and Vachik Yeghiazaryan (120 kg) having dropped out of the championships.
