Coach hails Armenian wrestlers’ results in European Championships

PanARMENIAN.Net - Chief coach of Armenian Greco-Roman team, Olympic champion Levon Julfalakyan highly assessed the athletes’ participation in Tbilisi-hosted championships.

“Artur Aleksanyan justified our expectations, becoming a European champion for the second straight year,” the coach said, hailing the performance of Vachik Yeghiazaryan (120 kg).

Julfalakyan further noted that bronze medalist Artur Shahinyan’s mistake in the semifinal prevented him from gaining an entry to the final.

“Though our athletes achieved good results, they still have a lot to accomplish by the World Championships,” the coach said.
