Govt. may cover 30% gas charges through grants

PanARMENIAN.Net - Negotiations on dropping gas prices or government’s covering gas charges are still underway, with no final decision taken yet, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources said.

According to Armen Movsissyan, government’s 30% covering of gas charges through grants is also negotiated with the Russian side.

Dwelling on the reports claming the gas price deal was signed on April 1, the minister said the negotiations started long ago. He said the new gas prices will enter into force once the Public Services Regulatory Commission confirms it.

It’s noteworthy that the Public Services Regulatory Commission resolved to set AMD 156 (VAT included) as the new price for cubic meter of gas, in consideration of the government’s decision to cover 30% of gas charges.
