Prosperous Armenia slams report on 2012 budget execution

PanARMENIAN.Net - The government is unable to explain the linkage between the economic growth and GDP drop, Prosperous Armenia parliamentary group member said.

Tigran Urikhanyan noted during the discussion of 2012 state budget execution that the poverty index totals 36%, despite the government’s promise to bring it to 25%.

“The government pledged to transform Armenia into a regional center for business investments, however that remained a dream,” he said, adding that the country faces tough challenges.

“Prosperous Armenia stands ready to support the government if its program proves effective. However, the government’s social-economic policy won’t contribute to the problem solution. For this reason, Prosperous Armenia refused to join the coalition,” the MP said.

“Our position remains unchanged and Prosperous Armenia slams the report on the budget execution,” he said.
