According to BoxingScene.com, Abraham is unhappy with the purse being offered by his promoter, Sauerland Event, and the two-division beltholder wants more money. "If Sauerland Event does not reach an agreement with my lawyer, I will not box....neither on August 24th or later on. I do not need to continue my boxing career, and I can finish it right now. Athletes should be treated fairly," Abraham stated. Abraham was stopped on four rounds by Robert Stieglitz in March.
