CIS PMs ink docs on joint air defense system, gas, economic cooperationOctober 30, 2015 - 16:48 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Prime Ministers of CIS member states have signed on Friday, October 30 about 40 documents at the meeting of the Commonwealth Heads of Governments in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The agreements deal with air defense systems, trade and economic cooperation, humanitarian ties, financial and socio-economic sectors, as well as cooperation in law enforcement, RIA Novosti reports. In particular, the government heads discussed a course of the implementation of provisions of the October 18, 2011 agreement on free trade zone and an action plan to implement the third stage of the CIS Economic Development Strategy before 2020. The prime ministers signed an agreement on financial aspects of joint air defense system. Also, the meeting approved a draft agreement on the terms of the inter-operator settlements in the provision of international telecommunication services in CIS countries. In addition, a draft set of measures was adopted for 2015-2020, aimed at developing and promoting the use of natural gas as fuel for vehicles. The CIS member states began preparations for the upcoming 25th anniversary of the Commonwealth to be celebrated in 2016.
