The Borussia Dortmund manager has seen some of his best players leave the club this summer, with Mats Hummels and Ilkay Gundogan also departing to Bayern Munich and Manchester City respectively. Dortmund were hopeful of keeping all three at the club but Tuchel was left disappointed as they secured transfers away. “A lot has happened. It feels a bit like a fresh start,” he told a press conference. ‘Three extremely important players have left us. We have lost three key men with the departures of Hummels, Gundogan and Mkhitaryan. “They are three players of the highest level. We did everything within our powers to hold on to them. “I am no more disappointed about losing Mkhitaryan than about losing Mats and Ilkay. “Of course I am a huge fan of Mkhitaryan.
