Manchester United’s Mourinho names 9 players “not included in his plans”July 30, 2016 - 14:10 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly told as many as nine players, including one of the club's highest earners, that they are not in his plans for this season, Soccer Laduma reports. The Portuguese is busy shaping his squad for the upcoming season, with internationals such as Anthony Martial, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Morgan Schneiderlin now having reported back for training following their extended holidays. It has now been reported by the Daily Mail that Mourinho has met with nine players to tell them they are not in the club's first team plans for the coming season – coincidentally, none of them made the Portuguese's 23-man squad for their friendly against Galatasaray on Saturday. The biggest name mentioned in Mourinho's clearout is Bastian Schweinsteiger, who announced his international retirement on Friday, July 29. The German reportedly pockets £160 000 a week and still has two years on his contract with the Red Devils. He has recently been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain and Schalke. In addition, Adnan Januzaj, Tyler Blackett and Patrick McNair have been told they are surplus to requirements and will be allowed to leave if they find a new club. Andreas Pereira and Will Keane are reportedly in the club's long-term plans but were asked to find a loan deal for first team football in 2016/17 as they are not expected to get a lot of game time at the Old Trafford this season. In addition, Mourinho apparently told youngsters Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, Timothy Fosu-Mensah and James Wilson to train with the U21 team this season – despite the three them having already been a part of the first team under previous boss Louis van Gaal.
