Lawyer: Sasna Tsrer members, father and son Manukyan need surgeryAugust 1, 2016 - 16:17 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The lawyer of the members of the armed group which ceased the Yerevan police station on July 17, Pavel and Aram Manukyan, filed a motion with the pretrial investigation authority for their immediate transfer to a civilian hospital. As Inessa Petrosyan stressed, both need surgery and were kept in the Hospital for Convicts in inhumane conditions. Their situation improved after numerous complaints; Manukyans were provided with separate rooms and hospital beds. As the lawyer further noted, she’s planning to file a complaint against the choice of detention as preventive measure for Makunyans. As she noted, the court decision suggesting Manukyans may escape or prevent investigation unless they’re detained is illogical. “Pavel Manukyan was brought to the court on a stretcher, with doctors present during the hearing in case the former needs medical assistance,” the lawyer stressed, according to Aysor.am. As reported on July 31, Pavel Manukyan was arrested for 2 months; he refused to admit his guilt at the court hearing. Manukyan’s son, Aram, was also arrested for 2 months and transferred to the Hospital for Convicts. The father and son Manukyan were indicted on charges of seizure of buildings and illegal possession of weapons.
