Armenian lifters win gold, bronze at European Youth Championships

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian weightlifter Karen Margaryan won a gold medal at the Poland-hosted European Youth Championships.

Competing in the 77 kg category, Margaryan raised a total of 280 kg above his head, setting a new European record for that weight class in U15 competitions.

In the women’s U15 63 kg category, Liana Gyurjyan snatched a bronze, lifting 156kg above her head in total.
