Azerbaijan's GDP down by 3.1% in January-August

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan's GDP declined by 3.1 percent in January-August compared to the same period last year, the State Statistics Committee said, according to Azerbaijani media outlets.

The country's GDP amounted to AZN 38,027,800,000 (around $23,1 billion) in the reporting period. Accordingly, GDP per capita totaled AZN 3,953 (about $2,398).

The downturn is caused by 32.3 percent decrease in production of construction products against the same period last year.
