Levon Aronian takes the lead after Grenke Chess Classic Round 4

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian leads Grenke Chess Classic, currently underway in the German towns of Karlsruhe and Baden-Baden.

In the fourth round on Wednesday, April 19, Aronian beat Matthias Bluebaum of Germany in his second win in a row.

On the current rankings list, following Aronian - who has 3.0 points overall - are Fabiano Caruana (U.S.),Germany's Arkadij Naiditsch and Hou Yifan of China with 2.5 points each, while Magnus Carlsen (Norway) and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave of France lag behind with 2.0 points each.

The fifth round of the tournament will be held on Thursday.
