Henrikh Mkhitaryan says he 'is proud to be Armenian'

PanARMENIAN.Net - Henrikh Mkhitaryan in an interview with "Hay Zinvor" (Armenian soldier) spoke about the time he took an Armenian flag to celebrate his first European Trophy.

He became the first Armenian to win the Europa League.

Paul Pogba's deflected strike in the first half and Mkhitaryan's flicked finish early in the second period gave Manchester United a 2-0 win in the final at the Friends Arena in Stockholm.

By that move, Mkhitaryan says, "I wanted to say the I am Armenian and I am proud about it."

Also, the Armenia international said that his football idol as a child was Zinedine Zidane.
