Armenian athlete named European weightlifting champion

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia's Gevorg Ghahramanyan won a gold medal at the U15 European Weightlifting Championships in Prishtina, Kosovo on Monday, September 25.

Earlier, Ara Poghosyan, also from Armenia, secured the title of the European Champion, lifting a total of 186kg above his head.

In the U17 event, athlete Babken Bagratyan (62kg) had won silver with a total result of 251kg.
