In the final bout, she defeated Poland’s Zuzanna Cieslar with a score of 15:11. Speaking to Match TV, Egorian expressed the emotional weight of this long-awaited victory. “I’m very happy. I’ve waited six years for this world championship. I truly wanted us to be recognized, appreciated, and remembered—that we must be in competition,” she said. Egorian credited her family and coach for supporting her journey: “I have a husband and a son at home. They allow me to train and compete. And my coach, Dmitry Glotov, gives me strength and faith every day—he made me a fencer. This victory is ours. We kept moving forward and finally made it here.” Reflecting on her path, she admitted, “I thought my world would collapse today. But my coach did everything so I could rebuild my opening match and move on. Russia, this is for you.” The World Championships began on July 22 and run through July 30 in Tbilisi. Russian athletes are competing under neutral status. Armenia’s Narek Manasyan (92kg) won Armenia’s second silver medal at the European Boxing Championships 2024 on April 28. Armenian gymnast, Olympic bronze medalist Artur Davtyan has reached the finals of the World Cup. Gor Manvelyan has denied reports alleging that he has expressed a desire to one day play for the French national team.
