Four Armenian players ranked in FIDE October list

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to the October rankings published by the International Chess Federation (FIDE), Armenia has four players listed across the men’s and women’s global charts.

In the men’s ranking, two grandmasters represent Armenia:

  • Shant Sargsyan, ranked 50th
  • Robert Hovhannisyan, ranked 94th

In the women’s ranking, Armenia is also represented by two grandmasters:

  • Elina Danielian, ranked 34th
  • Lilit Mkrtchian, ranked 66th

Levon Aronian, former leader of the Armenian national team who now competes under the U.S. flag, is ranked 23rd in the men’s list.
