In his statement, Barseghyan said it had been a great honor and responsibility to wear the jersey of the Armenian national team for years and represent the country’s colors. “I would like to thank all the coaches who worked with me in the national team, my teammates, the medical and administrative staff of the squad, all employees of the Football Federation of Armenia, and of course our loyal fans, who have always stood by us in both victories and defeats. I will continue to support the national team in a new capacity — as a fan. I wish our national team victories and major achievements,” the statement said. Tigran Barseghyan has been playing for the Armenian national team since 2016. The 32-year-old made 64 appearances, scoring 9 goals and providing 14 assists. Armenia’s Narek Manasyan (92kg) won Armenia’s second silver medal at the European Boxing Championships 2024 on April 28. Armenian gymnast, Olympic bronze medalist Artur Davtyan has reached the finals of the World Cup. Gor Manvelyan has denied reports alleging that he has expressed a desire to one day play for the French national team.
