  Russian base important for Armenia, RA NSC Secretary says November 14, 2010 - 18:18 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia cooperates with NATO in the framework of Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP), which is an important component of the republic’s security, RA National Security Council Secretary said. “The Alliance assists us in carrying out defense reforms,” Arthur Baghdasaryan said in an interview with Rzeczpospolita Polish newspaper. “As for Russia, it’s our strategic partner. About 2.5 million Armenians live in this country. Taking into account the regional challenges, we do not choose between white and black. We have been a member of the CSTO for many years,” he said. Asked about extension of Russian military base deployment in Armenia¸ Baghdasaryan said it’s very important for the country.
