  Erdogan accuses Merkel of unawareness about historical facts, demands apology January 15, 2011 - 15:28 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that he expected an apology from German Chancellor Angela Merkel who criticized Turkey and Turkish Cypriots for not doing enough to reach a deal to Greek Cypriots during a trip to the Greek Cypriot administration. "German Chancellor has showed that she did not know anything about the Cyprus issue. Her efforts to please the Greek Cypriot party are quite meaningful. We urge the chancellor to check the historical facts and apologise to the Turkish Cypriot party which has made all sorts of sacrifices to reach a solution on the island," Vatan cited him as saying.
