Obama: U.S. ready to assist achieve a framework agreement on Karabakh

PanARMENIAN.Net - Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov, who is on official visit in the United States, met with U.S. President Barack Obama .

During the meeting the parties discussed the process of Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement. President Obama thanked Foreign Minister Lavrov for his efforts regarding Nagorno-Karabakh and underscored the U.S. commitment to achieve a framework agreement, according to the White House official website.

It is supposed that within the framework of Washington visit, Lavrov presented to Obama the details of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s personal messages conveyed to Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan last week. Yerevan and Baku expressed readiness to scrutinize the message and give reply.
