  Azerbaijan violated ceasefire over 50 times Aug. 10 August 13, 2011 - 15:40 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - During the period of August 7-13, the cases of ceasefire violations have increased at the contact line between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces. According to the NKR defense army, Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire over 180 times firing about 1100 shots in the direction of Karabakh positions. Firing was most fierce on August 10, when Azerbaijani forces targeted Armenian positions in Hadrut, violating the ceasefire over 50 times. Karabakh army refrained from retaliatory measures, ensuring security at all positions.   Top stories Authorities said a total of 192 Azerbaijani troops were killed and 511 were wounded during Azerbaijan’s offensive. In 2023, the Azerbaijani government will increase the country’s defense budget by more than 1.1 billion manats ($650 million). The bill, published on Monday, is designed to "eliminate the shortcomings of an unreasonably broad interpretation of the key concept of "compatriot".
