Patrikeev fails to qualify for 2012 London Olympics

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Greco-Roman wrestler Yuri Patrikeev (120 kg) scored wins in 1/32 and 1/16 finals, however losing to Cuba's Mijain Lopez Nunez in Istanbul-hosted FILA Wrestling World Championships 1/8 finals.

Cuban wrestler's bid for finals allowed Patrikeev a chance to fight for championship bronze, which he, unfortunately lost, with Johan Magnus Euren (Switzerland) scoring a 2:1 win in a combat.

Thus, Patrikeev failed to qualify for 2012 London Olympics.

FILA Wrestling World Championships 1-5 places winners will qualify for 2012 London Olympics.
