  IOC panel praises Russia’s efforts in preparation of 2014 Winter Olympics September 15, 2011 - 09:28 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The International Olympic Committee says it is impressed with Russia’s progress in preparations for the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi. The IOC’s coordination commission on Wednesday, September 14 completed a three-day visit to the Black Sea resort, its sixth trip to Sochi since the games were awarded to Russia in 2007. The commission says in a statement that, with 55,000 workers on the ground, all of the Olympic venues are now under construction.
