CA senator: Karabakh conflict will soon be resolved![]() September 27, 2011 - 11:25 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Nagorno Karabakh conflict will soon be resolved in accord with the international law norms, according to chairman of the California Senate Standing Committee on Environmental Quality. “We are hopeful that the conflict will soon find its fair solution in the framework of international law,” Joe Simitian told journalists. Simitian was elected to the California State Senate in November 2004 to represent the 11th State Senate District, which includes portions of San Mateo, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties. In 2008, he was re-elected with 75% of the vote. Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
