PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian boxer Andranik Hakobyan (75 kg) scored a crucial win in AIBA World Championships to secure entry to 2012 London Olympics.

In 1/8 finals, the Vice World Champion and World Cup holder beat Mexico’s Juan Mercado 9:4, 6:3, with the clash ending before time because of the challenger’s back injury.

The remaining boxers, who dropped out of championship, have already returned to Armenia.
