Tigran Kirakosyan wins silver at World Sambo Championship

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia's Tigran Kirakosyan (52 kg) won all his fights to get to the finals of the World Sambo Junior and Youth Championships but, unfortunately, lost his final fight to grab silver.

Prior to that, Grigor Mkhitaryan became junior world champion while Maxim Manukyan (48 kg), Karen Tonoyan (62 kg), Mher Karapetyan (82 kg) and Rosa Khachatryan (52 kg) won bronze medals in the youth tournament, the press service of the Armenian Sambo Federation told PanARMENIAN.Net

337 sportsmen from 24 countries participate in the World Sambo Championships under way in Riga, Latvia.
