Armenia to face Azerbaijan in European Chess Championship 2nd round

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian women’s chess team drew the game vs. Czech Republic in the first round of European Team Chess Championship.

Lilit Mkrtchyan and Maria Kursova finished first, sharing points with Katerina Nemcova and Tereza Olsarova. After Lilit Galoyan lost to Kristyna Havlikova, Elina Danielian won a victory equalizing the score 2:2.

After the first round, Armenian women chess players are ranked 14 with 2 points. Serbians top the standings with 4 points.

After crushing Austria 3,5:05 in the first round, Armenian men’s team will face Azerbaijanis, who scored a 2,5:1,5 victory over Italy to rank 4th.
