Armenian chess players show good game at World Youth Championship

PanARMENIAN.Net - World Youth Chess Championship is ongoing in Caldas Novas, Brazil.

In round 7, Armenia’s U18 player Samvel Ter-Sahakyan tied a game vs. Russia’s Vladimir Fedoseev to retain leadership with 6,5 points. Robert Aghasaryan beat Bulgaria’s Javier Monroy to climb 23rd with 4,5 points.

In U16 category, Karen Grigoryan beat Finland’s Daniel Ebeling to be placed 14th with 5 points. Hovhannes Gabuzyan tied a game vs. Poland’s Kamil Dragun to retain 3rd place with 5,5 points.

Lithuania’s Tomas Laurusas tops the U16 standings with 6 points.
