Russia won’t allow disturbance of strategic balance in Europe – Minister

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia cannot tolerate disturbance of existing strategic balance, that unilateral actions of the Western “partners” to deploy antimissile systems in Europe might lead to, Russian Minister of Defense said.

“We possess information that the U.S. plans to deploy antimissile systems Standard-3 in Poland. This can be a potential threat to our strategic nuclear forces," Anatoly Serdyukov said in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

"Once these elements of missile defense are installed in Poland, we will take adequate response measures. We might consider deploying missile systems Iskander in Kaliningrad, if the relevant decision of the Supreme Commander follows," said the Minister.
