Berezovsky draws parallel between Armenian team and FC Barcelona

PanARMENIAN.Net - Goalkeeper Roman Berezovsky noted difference between Armenian present-day and previous national teams when analyzing their football strategies.

“Presently our team is inclined to more attacking tactics in contrast to previous defensive strategy. This shift helped us secure 22 goals in Euro qualifiers,” he told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

Berezovsky praised the team’s performance in UEFA EURO 2012 qualifiers, stressing the 3rd place the squad took in Group B.

“There is certain similarity between our team and FC Barcelona judging by both its approach and strategy,” the goalkeeper said.

“I’m glad that both football experts and fans celebrate our good match against Ireland. I had a lot of time to analyze it later,” Berezovsky said dwelling on Armenia vs. Ireland UEFA EURO 2012 Group B qualifier, during which he was handed a red card.

Berezovsky expressed hope for the Armenian team to show good results and emerge victorious in World Cup 2014.
