Russian President says CIS important factor in regional stability

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) became an important factor in the development of regional stability, despite current issues, according to Russian President.

As Dmitry Medvedev stated at the opening of an informal summit dedicated to the 20th anniversary of CIS, “the Commonwealth has passed a long way towards development to become an important regional unit.”

As the President noted, the summit will focus on new projects and further development perspectives, RIA Novosti reported.
