Movsesian, Sargissian score wins at Gibraltar Chess Festival![]() January 26, 2012 - 12:42 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - In the second round of the Gibraltar Chess Festival , Armenia's Sergei Movsesian and Gabriel Sargissian scored victories over Mohammed Al-Sayed (Qatar) and Joseph Gallagher (Sudan) respectively, sharing 1st-30th places with 28 chess player GM Varuzhan Akobian (U.S.) tied a game against Marc Arnold (U.S.) The Tradewise Gibraltar Chess Festival takes place at the Caleta Hotel in Gibraltar, Jan 23 Feb 2, 2012. The main event of the Festival is the 10-round Masters tournament from January 24. In addition, there will be the 1st Amateurs and Challengers events from January 23 to 27, the 2nd Amateurs and Challengers from January 28 to February 1, two evening blitz events and Master classes with elite players.
