Aronian-Kramnik match likely in April![]() January 30, 2012 - 11:03 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian said he is extremely happy to have shown a perfect result at the 74th Tata Steel Chess Tournament in Wijk aan Zee. In the 13-round tournament, Aronian won 7 games, tied 4 and lost 2, to claim his 3rd Tata Steel title. “This is the best tournament in my career, as I managed to control the situation almost all the time,” the GM confesses. He also said that his next match will probably be against Russia’s Vladimir Kramnik in April. “We hoped Levon Aronian would agree to participate in the tournament in Baku,” Azerbaijan’s Chess Federation official says. After beating Wayne Odesnik David Nalbandian will be facing Argentina second seeded player Juan Monaco on February 22. Despite his resignation as IOC vice president, Mario Pescante will remain a regular IOC member from Italy.
