Stepan Safaryan: RA Defense Ministry has to openly investigate the death of 6 soldiers

PanARMENIAN.Net - The head of heritage parliamentary group Stepan Safaryan expressed concern over the recent incident claiming lives of 6 RA Armed Forces soldiers.

“Recent incident proves the necessity of personnel reforms in RA Armed Forces,” Stepan Safaryan told a news conference inv Yerevan.

“To justify Armenian society’s trust in the Army, RA Defense Ministry has to openly investigate the case of the death of 6 soldiers to hold the perpetrators responsible,” he stressed.

On July 28, six servicemen died as a result of incident caused by rough violation of combat duty rules: Lieutenant Vardges Tadevosyan (Yerevan), as well as conscripts Gurgen Hovsepyan (Echmiadzin), Andranik Sargsyan (Yerevan), Robert Hovhannisyan (Vanadzor), Artyom Manasyan (Charentsavan) and Karo Ayvazyan (Yerevan).
