Arman Melikyan: Armenia is incapable of controlling its foreign policy

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia is a country where statements are made, rather than issues resolved, former NKR foreign minister Arman Melikyan stressed.

“For many years, Armenia has been incapable of controlling its foreign policy,” he told a news conference in Yerevan.

Commenting on the superpowers’ representatives frequent visits to Armenia, Melikyan noted, “Visits to Armenia and statements made are aimed not so much at Armenia itself, but rather at other regional states.”

“Armenia does have a military and political importance; it’s the sense of identity that the country is deprived of,” the ex-foreign minister observed.
