RPA preparing for 2012 parliamentary election

PanARMENIAN.Net - High rating of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan will favor the Republican Party (RPA), the ruling party’s MP Vardan Ayvazyan stated.

At a news conference in Yerevan, Ayvazyan commented on reporter’s remark that the rating of President Sargsyan is higher than that of the Party. “We view the Party and the President as a whole,” he said, noting that RPA is getting ready for 2012 parliamentary elections in Armenia.

The Chairman of Armenia’s Political Experts Union Hamayak Hovhannesyan, in turn, characterized the political field of Armenia as a copy of the Russian one. Hovhannesyan expressed concern over the authorities’ hampering the development of economy in the country.
