Diplomat: former Ukrainian ambassador to Armenia used to mistake the wish for the reality

PanARMENIAN.Net - Referring to WikiLeaks publication that the former Ukrainian ambassador to Armenia allegedly briefed a U.S. diplomat that the Armenian authorities exerted pressure on the Ukrainian diplomat, forcing him to cancel the event dedicated to the 1932-1933 famine (Holodomor) in Ukraine, a diplomat accredited in Armenia said that the former Ukrainian Ambassador to Armenia used to mistake the wish for the reality.

At the same time, the diplomatic source told PanARMENIAN.Net that it is unserious to comment on Wikileaks publications, which are basically invented.

According to WikiLeaks, the Ukrainian ambassador said that his apartment in Yerevan was broken into for “politically-motivated” reasons related to his staging of Ukraine famine remembrance event the same day that Russian president Medvedev arrived for his first state visit in Armenia. However, even U.S. ambassador Yovanovitch specifically mentions about US embassy’s “doubt” regarding Ukrainian ambassador’s “assumption,” unzipped.blogspot.com reported.
