5th round of Armenia-EU association agreement talks launched in Yerevan

PanARMENIAN.Net - On May 23, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with the delegation led by chief negotiator for Armenia-EU association agreement Gunnar Wiegand. The delegation arrived in Armenia to participate in the 5th round of association agreement talks.

The parties dwelled on Armenia-EU relations, praising the current political dialogue and strengthening cooperation. They specifically noted the progress in association agreement talks, launched in July 2010.

Nalbandian and Wiegand discussed cooperation activities accomplished, mapped out further steps, exchanged views on visa regime facilitation and creation of a free trade zone.

On the same day, the Foreign Minister opened a sitting for association agreement negotiations, followed by a working session led by Deputy Foreign Minister Karine Kazinian, Armenian Foreign Ministry’s press service reported.
