Magnitude 2.7 earthquake struck north of Armenia

A magnitude 2.7 earthquake struck the north of Armenia on February 9, at 3:03 am local time.



In the epicenter, which was 16 km northwards of Ashotsk settlement, the tremors measured 3.0-4.0 on the Richter scale, Hamlet Bisharyan, PR officer of the National Seismic Protection Survey Agency, told PanARMENIAN.Net



He also informed that a magnitude 2 earthquake was registered 5 km northwards of Ashotsk on February 3.
