Armenia’s youth to promote patriotismSeptember 29, 2010 - 16:41 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - President of Ascent youth union Hayk Avagyan said that the union aims to educate patriotism, respect towards national army and aspiration towards education among the Armenian youth. Currently, the number of young people, who want to leave Armenia after completion of school, is growing, Avagyan told a press conference on September 29. He added that these young people do not want to study in higher educational institutions and serve in the army. To tackle these phenomena, the Union plans to hold educational and moral-pedagogic conversations, as well as cultural events and actions in Armenia. Ascent youth union was established in 2008 with the assistance of Armenia’s Youth Party. Young people aged 16-18 are eligible to join the union.
