Yerevan to host X Week of the Italian Language in the WorldOctober 12, 2010 - 17:20 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On October 18, 2010, the X Week of the Italian Language in the World will be inaugurated in the premises of the Italian Embassy in Yerevan. The Event, which is promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is intended to enhance, within the framework of the cultural cooperation with the Hosting Countries, the value of the Italian Language as a vehicle of culture and as a key of access to the Italian Cultural Heritage. The theme of the Week for 2010 will be: “A Friendly Language: Our and Other People’s Italian” (Una Lingua per Amica: l’Italiano Nostro e degli Altri). The initiative is organized by the Italian Embassy with the support of the EU Delegation in Yerevan, in the framework of the Heritage Day in Armenia, and other Institutions as far as specific events are concerned: Honorary Consulate in Gyumri and AM-PG Group. A series of appointments, consisting in theatre performances, exhibitions, conferences and film projections, will therefore take place from October 18 to 24 in the perspective to offer to the Armenian public sympathizing with the Italian language a multi-faceted frame of Italian cultural expressions.
