Darchinyan going to score knockout over Perez

PanARMENIAN.Net - Former IBF, WBC, WBA super flyweight champion Vic Darchinyan (35-3-1, 27 KOs) has predicted he will score a knockout over former IBF bantamweight champion Yonnhy Perez (20-1-1, 14 KOs) when the clash over twelve rounds at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California with the IBO bantamweight title up for grabs on April 23 on the SHOWTIME bantamweight special that will also feature current IBF bantamweight champion Joseph Agbeko vs. Abner Mares, fightnews reports.

Darchinyan is confident the fight will not go the distance. Darchinyan talked to Fightnews and said, “Training has gone very good and I am sure I will KO Perez when we fight.”

Darchinyan continued, “I do not want to leave it to the judges. I have been doing two thousand push ups every day and have never been stronger.”

Darchinyan dropped a disputed split decision to Abner Mares in December 2010.
