Superpowers condemn Israel

PanARMENIAN.Net - The French president has condemned the Israeli attack on a Gaza-bound aid convoy, accusing the regime of "disproportionate use of force."

“French President Nicolas Sarkozy condemns the disproportionate use of force and sends his condolences to the families of the victims," the Elysee palace said in a statement."All light must be shed on the circumstances of this tragedy which underlines how urgent it is to re-launch the peace process."

The Russian Foreign Ministry also condemned Israel and called to put an end to Gaza’s blockade.

The White House said in a written statement that the United States "deeply regrets" the loss of life and injuries and was working to understand the circumstances surrounding this "tragedy."
