NKR President attends Russian Church opening ceremony![]() June 19, 2010 - 12:38 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On June 18, President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan attended a solemn ceremony of opening of the Russian Church in Stepanakert. The event was also attended by Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, chairman of the National Assembly Ashot Ghulyan, other officials, representatives of the Russian community of Artsakh, as well as guests from the Russian Federation. In his speech, Mr. Sahakyan stressed the importance of continuous development of friendly relations between the two nations, reported the Central Information Department of the Office of Arstakh Republic President. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
